I used Hayfield Bonus chunky (but using 2 starnds of DK held together should work out the same, with the correct tension) It is knitted flat and seamed. 9mm Safety eyes, small amount of poly stuffing. wire to make glasses. I used small amount of clear glue to fit eyes in place
