This scarf features a tubular body that flares into tree motifs at both ends with no increases! My Grandmother taught me to knit when I was very young. My Grandfather had been stationed in Japan with the Navy when my mother was little and so I have fond memories of being surrounded by Japanese children's storybooks, food, and artwork from paintings to sculptures and pottery and textiles. No wonder my first pattern pays homage to the lovely, familiar culture that I was surrounded by growing up that I have such a fondness for.
