The details of the shawl beautifully showcase hand dyed colourways. The pattern is written for 5 colours, but you can knit it using a fade kit, you can use less colours or even using just one colour. If you are using multiple colours, I recommend for colour C and D to use similar colours, so they will fade beautifully.
