Little Panda

These adorable baby shorties/slipper socks are worked toe-up using 3.5 mm double-pointed needles. Designed to fit those tiny, sweet newborn feet, they make a perfect baby shower gift or a lovely way to use up leftover yarn. The cute little panda detail is appliquéd on after the socks are finished, using the duplicate stitch technique.

MATERIALS: green acrylic DK yarn 100 g / 300m. I used approximately 15g for both slippers

Handful black and white DK acrylic yarn for the panda

KNITTING GAUGE: 14 sts and 17 rows to 5 x 5 cm = 2” x 2” in stocking stitch (knit row on right side, purl row on wrong side) and 3.5 mm needles.

NEEDLES: 3.5 mm (US4) double pointed needles
