This adorable pillow is made from the intarsia technique. Instructions are given for a 10 1/2" round pillow, but it would be easy to make it square instead. (It could also be a tea cozy if you knit it straight at the bottom and curved it at the top!)
You need various colors of yarn, and scraps would work. Just keep the weight of the yarn consistent, and you can mix and match.
Size 5 seed beads are used to make the cute little apples on the tree. Brief instructions are given in the pattern, or see www.reallyclear.com for a video on how to place beads with a crochet hook when knitting.
The pattern uses a 3-needle bind-off to connect the front and back of the pillow--for no sewing.
