Little Birds Scarf

This scarf features a lovely lace motif which creates a beautiful eyelet fabric that reminds me of a flock of little birds flying across the sky.

Little Birds Scarf is a long sideways-knit shawlette or scarf. You start knitting at one tip, then work your way across to the opposite tip, creating an elongated triangular shape. That’s a shape I find really enjoyable to knit and very easy to wear.

I made my original sample with a fine, fluffy lace weight yarn held double, which created a fingering weight gauge. The pattern provides lots of options for easy adjustments though if you wish to use a different yarn weight and/or make a smaller/larger scarf according to the yarn/yardage you have available.

It would also make a great project for a single 100 g-skein of fingering weight yarn.
