This beret style hat and matching cowl set will add a touch of sparkly glamour to your knitted accessories! The contrast rib on the hat coordinates with the contrast lining of the cowl, and the travelling stitch that winds diagonally around the cowl echoes the decreases on the crown shaping of the hat. The pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters, and uses the magic loop method of knitting in the round.
You will need: for the hat 50g Stylecraft Cabaret DK and 10g Stylecraft Special DK; for the cowl 50g Stylecraft Cabaret DK and 40g Stylecraft Special DK; circular knitting needles 3.5mm and 4mm (at least 80cm long for magic loop method; you can use a 4mm/40cm circular for the cowl if you prefer); stitch markers; tapestry needle for sewing in ends; scissors.
Tension & Size: 21 sts x 29 rows = 10cm x 10cm in plain stockinette stitch; pattern is for one adult size.
