Great news! 2019 The single pattern for the shrug from my 2012 book A Handknit Romance is now available. It has been updated and includes a chart for the lace pattern.
This clever shrug, based on a Victorian garment called a hug-me-tight, is a really useful and pretty cover-up for chilly summer evenings!
Two ends of laceweight yarn were used together. A single end of 4ply yarn would work too.
The images also show a blue DK wool version which can be knitted from the same pattern - it will result in a wider (i.e.longer) garmment.
Knitted in one piece sideways with two seams at back. For help with pattern email me at address in profile.
