Komodo Dragon

This Komodo dragon was designed and made for a special friend, who requested it for her son. These animals are not very well known or popular, so finding a Komodo dragon toy for him for Christmas has proved impossible! She asked whether I'd be up to the challenge of designing and crocheting one...in a little over 24 hours, I sent her the pictures - she is extremely happy, and can't wait to surprise her son with it!

The written crochet pattern (in US terms) calls for a 4.00 mm crochet hook, DK yarn in dark brown, as well as small amounts of DK yarn in black and yellow.

Gauge is not important for this pattern; the finished Komodo dragon is approximately 30 cm in length, 16 cm in width, and 6 cm in height. However, if using yarns of different weights with matching crochet hooks, the same pattern could be used to make Komodo dragons of various sizes.

- small piece white/cream felt

- sharp scissors
