Iridescence is an asymmetric triangle with bands of lace along the long edge, designed in conjunction with Earthfaire and The Unique Sheep.
The body of the triangle is a gently textured combination of garter and slipped stitches, with short floats running on both sides of the work to mix up the colours in the variegation. This blocks into a light, waffley fabric which forms a satisfying contrast with bands of pretty beaded lace along the long edge of the piece.
Both the texture and the lace sections of the shawl can be extended to any size and yardage.
The design can be worked entirely from the written pattern or from charts with some notes.
