The shawl is worked in one piece, laterally. There’s never more than a hundred stitches on the needle at the same time, which makes it very fun - and quick ! - to knit :) And bonus, no stitch to pick up ! The lace part is knitted The lace part is knitted gradually with the rest of the shawl.
The sample was made with Filature du Valgaudemar Andine. A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.
Une laine chaude et moelleuse, beaucoup de point mousse, un zeste de dentelle… Imelda est un vrai shawl doudou, dans lequel il fait bon s’emmitoufler.
Le shawl se tricote d’une pièce, de manière latérale. Il n’y a jamais plus d’une centaine de mailles sur l’aiguille en même temps, ce qui le rend très amusant - et rapide ! - à tricoter :) Et bonus, pas de mailles à relever ! La partie dentelle est tricotée au fur et à mesure.
