Worked from the top in spiral rounds, the hat finishes with a deep, textured band. The top of the slouchy is wider than the band, where a smaller hook creates a snug fit with 5 cm of negative ease.
You can crochet the hat in super-bulky yarn or use a yarn mix – two or more strands of yarn held together – if the yarn mix meets the pattern stitch gauge.
