Heron Cardigan

A classic cabled cardigan in luxury yarn. Featuring a longer length style and chunky garter stitch edgings to keep you cosy. This cardigan is worked top down with raglan sleeves. Stitches round the front edges and neck are picked up and worked in garter stitch. Charts and written instructions are given for the cabled sections.

To fit bust 32” (34”, 36”, 38”, 40”, 42” 44”).

Measurements: Length neckline to hem = 23½” (24”, 24½”, 25”, 25½”, 26”, 26½”). Around sleeve = 12” (13”, 14”, 15”, 16”, 17”, 18”) Across back (armpit to armpit) = 16” (17”, 18”, 19”, 20” 21”, 22”). Sleeve length: 14” (14”, 14”, 15”, 15”, 16”, 16”)

Yarn: Shilasdair Luxury DK 3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins at 349m per skein. Total metres of yarn = 930 (1020, 1100, 1260, 1340, 1530, 1620).

Needles: One 4.5mm / US 7 80cm circular needle; four 4.5mm / US 7 double pointed needles or one 4.5mm / US 7 40cm circular needle..

Gauge: 18 sts and 30 rows = 4” in stocking stitch before blocking (17 sts and 28 rows after blocking).Extras: 4.5mm/US 8 cable needle, 10 stitch markers,two 30” lengths of scrap yarnand three hook and eye catches.
