These face scrubbies are made from 100% cotton, and work up very quickly. They are the perfect addition to a beauty regime - soft, durable, and reusable (machine washable at 30ºC), they are an eco-friendly alternative to cotton wool pads when removing makeup or applying toner, or a facecloth when cleansing your face. They are suitable for the whole family, and make wonderful gifts (e.g. Valentine's Day).
The written crochet pattern (in US terms) calls for chunky cotton yarn and a 5.00 mm crochet hook, and the only additional material required is a darning needle, to weave in the ends.
A label example is also provided in this pattern (along with a blank template, too), so that your handmade items can be neatly and beautifully packaged for sale or gifting.
The pattern can also be used to make kitchen scrubbies (also known as dish scrubbies), using rough or textured yarn (or yarn made by cutting tulle – or even a plastic grocery bag – into a continuous strip, approximately 2.5 cm in width).
