Not everyone thinks of knitting cowls for children, but they are a great kids’ accessory because they don’t fall off – and they’re perfect for going incognito! The single-twist cables on this tube-shaped cowl create fun, geometrical flags across the surface. This plied and bouncy (and machine washable) wool translates well into cables, giving them perfect stitch definition.

- MATERIALS AND NOTIONS 2 balls of Knit Picks Swish Worsted (100% superwash merino wool; 110 yds/101m per 50g ball); #25631 Dove Heather. US #7 (4.5mm) circular needles or a set of dpns. Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge. 3 stitch markers, yarn needle.
