Like its mother, the Gretna Jumper, the Gretna Hat is densely cabled with a touch of eyelets, texture, and soothing ribbed knitting. The meeting of longwool fibers and cables is pretty magical and a bit unexpected. The fabric feels lightweight, and the lustrous quality of the fibers seem to perfectly define each stitch as they cross one another. The Gretna Hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. I recommend using stitch markers to keep track of pattern repeats. When working from charts or written instructions, take care to work from the correct instructions for your size.
