Here are the latest madmonkeyknits monkeys for you to knit. Let me introduce you to Gilbert and Baby George the chinese golden monkeys. Yes they really do have blue faces! Gilbert is knitted mainly in a variety of Eyelash yarns on 4 mm neeles and is 44 cm high whereas Baby George is knitted on mainly 1.6 mm needles and is 22 cm high. They are both fully jointed allowing them to swing from branch to branch but the pattern allows you to make slightly simpler non-jointed versions if you prefer. The Gilbert and Baby George Golden Monkeys knitting pattern is available to buy on Etsy, Ebay or from my website. Gilbert is going off on an adventure to China very soon with my nephew Alexander and his journey will be eagerly followed with lots of photos on my website www.madmonkeyknits.com. Poor Baby george is having to stay here but I'm sure all my other monkeys will look after him.
