Fluffy Duckling Easter Toy

Colour-illustrated knitting pattern to make cute fluffy duckling toys for Easter.

Knitted in soft snowflake yarn and quick to make, these are just the right size for children to cuddle.

If you can work stocking-stitch and increasing and decreasing stitches then you can knit this toy duckling. Ducks are knitted flat on straight 4mm knitting needles so no knitting in the round is needed and the finished toy measures 31cm (12.2 inches) from top of head to tip of toes.

We recommend a selection of inexpensive yarns to knit these toys, but you can use any comparable yarns you like. Image shows ducklings knitted in Wendy Peter Pan Precious Chunky (the fluffy yarn- you’ll need one ball per toy) and oddments of Wendy Peter Pan Dk and Stylecraft Bambino Dk for the legs, beak, and scarf. For the (optional) bonnets we used 23g per bonnet of Stylecraft Special Chunky For Babies in Baby Blue (1232) and Baby Pink (1230) You’ll also need a pair of 4mm straight knitting needles.
