Boot toppers or leg warmers are the best project! And make fabulous gifts to boot! (pun intended) Quick, colorful and great to spruce up a drab outfit and use up your leftover worsted weight yarn! For this project you will knit flat, seam the center portion, then pick up stitches for the contrast cuffs. You need to know how to knit and purl and you will learn to work a basic cable, and use a simple embroidery stitch for which there is a photo tutorial in the pattern.
A word of caution however, you may end up wanting to make them in all the colors, which is what happened to me as evident in the picture.
Auch auf Deutsch: Stulpen sind eigentlich das ideal Strickproject, schnell gemacht, farbenfroh, und gut zum Schenken und Familie und Freundinnen zu bestricken. Für diese Stulpen wird das Hauptteil zuerst flach gestrickt, dann gesäumt. An den Enden werden dann Maschen für das farbenfrohe Bündchen aufgenommen und zuletzt wird die Blümchendekoration auf die fertigen Stulpen gestickt.
