Finished shawl measurements after blocking: Width: 114” / 290 cm. Depth: 43” / 110 cm.
Blocked gauge: 16 sts x 28 rows to 4”/10 cm in reverse st st, after blocking
Construction notes: The Florence shawl is a huge triangular shawl, that is started from the center base. Beginning from the middle of the triangle, the shawl grows with increases to the center st as well as increases on both sides of the triangle. Knit in reverse stockinette with slip stitches and bobbles, a delicate organic leaf and flower pattern begins to bloom and is finished with a very slim, almost invisible i-cord.
Inspiration: Inspiration for this pattern came from Florence Nightingale.
