The Fleur-de-Lis hat is a "hip" style - big and slouchy - hat, with room for plenty of curls. The pattern calls for 5 colors of fingering weight wool, but could be knit in only three colors if preferred. Knitter will need 16" circular needles in sizes 2 and 3 (or sized needed to work gauge) as well as double-pointed needles in either size to close up the top.
Yarn packs for Mrs Knitter Designs patterns are available through the Mrs Knitter Designs website www.mrsknitterdesigns.com. Variations in gauge can be made to purposely personalize the hat size. The hat can be a tam by blocking on a plate rather than a bowl when finished.
