We're having a KAL for Fireworks Festival in mid January. Please, say hello in the Crafting Tales Ravelry forum if you want to join the party, make some friends and chat while learning syncopated brioche knitting! We're going to have video tutorials and Q&A!
Fireworks Festival is a shawl worked flat on circular or straight needles. It features syncopated brioche lace in a light speckled colour (the fireworks) on a simple 2 colours brioche dark background (the night sky).
Its shape is similar to a crescent but the top is blocked flat.
Gauge is not crucial for this project. I used about one and a half skeins of each colour to complete the shawl and the finished size is still very generous.
Use any 4 skeins of fingering weight / 4ply yarn listed above. I recommend 1 solid or semidolid and 1 variegated/speckled colour,
All my patterns have a story and I’m particularly fond of the one which comes with Fireworks Festival. I hope it’ll give you that strong emotion that inspired my design.
