This pattern required small quantities of laceweight/light fingering yarns, very suitable for oddments and left-overs. Sylvanian and Calico Critters dolls need hats to enchance their outfits and this pattern will enable you to create a variety of head-gear.
All you need is a few yards (metres) of any slender or lace-weight yarn. Two strands of embroidery thread would also work, or lightweight sock yarn.
This pattern is suitable for beginner and junior knitters; tension/gauge is not important. Figurines' heads come in all sizes so every hat you make should fit someone!
