The wool used in the photos is 100% Bluefaced Leicester 4ply wool. The use of the 4ply lighter weight wool means that the scarves drape very well over the shoulders, the scarf is very warm but light and comfortable to wear - perfect for cool summer days or as a wrap for windy walks on the beach.
The scarf when finished measures 130cm wide by 80cm long, the size is perfect for a scarf or can be used as a shawl for over the shoulders or a beach wrap.
The pattern used is very simple only three basic crochet stitches, slip stitch, chain stitch and a treble stitch. The pattern would be suitable for a beginner or someone who is more experienced. The pattern also gives a 'how to' guide for creating the stitches. The pattern is written in UK terms.
