Every winter I find myself looking for an oversized sweater to wrap myself up in — this is how Earl was born. Long sleeves, overlapping fronts and a huge shawl collar. A sweater to live in.
Finished Sizes
31½ (33¾, 36, 38¼, 40½, 42¾,) (45¼, 47½, 49¾, 52)" bust circumference with 6″ overlapping in front. Sweater shown measures 36", modeled with 4″ ease.
Yarn
Malabrigo Worsted (100% merino; 210 yd /100 g [3½ oz]): Pale Khaki 7 (7, 8, 8, 9, 9,) (9, 10, 10, 11) skeins. [Appx 1315 (1410, 1500, 1595, 1690, 1785,) (1885, 1980, 2075, 2170) yds—exact yardage will vary!]
Needles
Size 10 (6.0 mm) 29" circular (cir) and set of double pointed (dpns). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
