A classic and considered cable keyhole scarf, the Donwell scarf has subtle and elegant honeycomb and twisting cables. It is designed for The Fibre Co.'s Cumbria yarn, a soft and luxurious worsted-weight aran wool.
The design has a few techniques to interest the knitter - a three needle join is used to form the keyhole loop and there are three different cables that form the pattern. The pattern includes both a chart and written instructions.
A revised version of the pattern has been published on the 28th October 2025 with an improved layout and more standard stitch abbreviations.
