Disco Navajo Buggy Blanket

The Disco Navajo Buggy blanket is bright and chunky. It is crocheted in a simple, but unusual stitch which, when combined with other colours in this way, gives a lovely tweedy loose-woven blankety effect. A little bit tribal with a funky twist - thus the name.

Its light stretchy, construction makes it warm but airy - just as suitable for the warmer seasons as for winter. It makes up surprisingly quickly.

A small multi-colour pompom to each corner - gives it that extra special finish.

You can stick to the colours I've used or be creative and use your own combo. It needn't be bright - would work just as well in muted shades, monochromatic tones, or even a mixture of clashing primaries.

This pattern is written for Stylecraft Life Chunky - a 20% wool mix which took 100g of each colour but any chunky yarn can be used. Please be aware, however, that if you choose to use a yarn with a higher wool content, you will use more yarn as wool fibres are heavier than acrylic.
