The Dahlia Bauble Pattern features two pattern options and has been tested for 2 different sizes. I recommend finding some of your old baubles to cover or finding them at thrift stores or after Christmas sales. Be careful, you may become addicted to this pattern!
You will need dk/8ply yarn in 2 or more colours (I prefer 3 or 4) and a 2.5 or 2.75mm hook for small or 3.25 or 3.5mm hook for large.
The pattern is in US terms and main stitch used is the puff stitch, with others including, dc, sc and hdc.
The main version of the pattern is beginner friendly.
