This large crochet peacock feather applique or motif is my own original design. It measures 8 x 10 cm / 3.2 x 4 inch and I make it using 100% mercerized cotton and a 2.5mm hook / C hook.
You could use this motif to embellish bags, hats and box lids, to mention just a few ideas. I myself have made lots of garlands with this motif and instructions how to make one have been included in this pattern.
This design is suitable for BEGINNERS since it has clear written instructions and photos. All you need is a 2.5mm (C) hook and to be able to make: • ch = chain • slst = slip stitch • sc = single crochet • hdc = half double crochet • dc = double crochet • trc = triple crochet These are American terms. British terms have been included in the pattern too.
I like to use Scheepjes Catona mercerized cotton for this design.
