I LOVE this bag. I think it is a very unique design, and it may be my very favorite one, so far. I call it "Botswana Bag" because I crocheted most of it while on a two week trip to Botswana, Africa. We drove all over Botswana, and when I wasn't looking up to take in the incredible wildlife and landscape I was crocheting away on it.
The bag consists of 16 squares. Each square is made by working an overlay pattern in double crochet onto a double crochet grid.
This bag is not lined. It measures approx. 11” wide, approx. 15” long (without straps) and approx. 25” long (with straps).
This bag was made using ALESSANDRA cotton crochet threadsize 5 by Ital-Spain Enterprises Ltd. (L.S.E. Ltd.). If you wish to use another brand, any size 5 cotton thread should work nicely. You can also you TWO strands of size 10 thread crocheted together.
