Materials, One Color Clown

• Worsted weight yarn (solid color or variegated): 100 yards for body and hat; 18 yards for face and hands; some red, blue, and black yarn for the face

Materials, Two Color Clown

• Worsted weight yarn: 65 yards Color A (solid) for body and hat; 70 yards Color B (variegated) for body and hat; 18 yds for face and hands; some red, blue, and black yarn for the face

Both

• Knitting needles size 5
• Wool roving or fiberfill for stuffing

Yarn Notes: You can use any yarn you choose (the softer the better) with a needle 2 or 3 sizes smaller than is recommended for that yarn, so the knitting is firm. The toys may be larger or smaller depend- ing upon your choice, but the bodies will remain in proportion. It is not necessary to match the gauge if you use a different weight of yarn.
