These mittens feature a central “braided” cable pattern with two left-twist cables on either side. The chunky gauge gives the cables body and a softened texture. The mittens have long cuffs for extra wrist warmth.
I used size 9 double-pointed needles for one mitten and size 10 circular needles for magic loop for the second mitten. I tend to knit more tightly when doing magic loop, and size 10 on magic loop got me the same gauge as 9's on the dpn's.
