Produktdetails
This reversible triangular lace shawl is the first in a series of 12 patterns that will form my Canadian Art Deco Knits e-book. They will be released one a month beginning in January 2015. You can buy them individually or as part of the e-book.
This zig-zag pattern is based on a decorative metal grille that architect Ernest Cormier used in the hall of honour in the Pavilion Roger-Gaudry at the Université de Montréal. It can be knit in a triangular or rectangular shape.
Lace weight triangular sample: used approx 700 yds (640 m) of Turtlepurl Yarns Angel Lace in Lothlorien (approx. 52g of a 100g skein)
Small fingering weight estimate: approx. 100g (425yds/390m) fingering weight yarn
Large fingering weight triangular sample: used approx 700 yds (640 m) of Yvieknits Yarn Sock in Pewter (approx 150g of two 100g skeins)
Fun Fact: Cormier also used this same grille in the Supreme Court of Canada.
