This chunky cape features a high neck for style that buttons for warmth plus rows of chunky mesh stitches worked flat from the top down which makes this a nice layering piece.
This pattern is recommended for an intermediate but a beginner who is ready to take on more challenging projects may be able to complete this provided they are comfortable working with a larger hook, heavy yarn weight and can make the large stitches.
The yarn used in this pattern is Malabrigo Rasta, color 886 Diana (2 hanks needed), 180 yards total to complete the cape. You will use all of the 2 hanks for this project and need to purchase more to make a larger size.
