City on a Lake

This triangular shawl is knit on the bias in garter stitch, and features sections of mosaic colorwork. The texture of the garter stitch, combined with a squishy DK weight yarn, results in a snuggly shawl perfect for keeping warm when there’s a cool breeze coming off the lake.

Important Notes: It is helpful to have a familiarity with mosaic style colorwork prior to knitting this pattern, but not necessary.  With mosaic colorwork, you will only ever knit with one strand of yarn at a time, and you simply slip the stiches that are meant to be in the other color.  The colorwork portion of the pattern is available solely in charted form.
