Knitted flat using three different types of textured stitch to make the penguin and heart, the finished penguin measures 26cm tall. The pattern takes you step-by-step through knitting the textured stitches so is perfect for knitters with just a little experience.
To make this toy, you will need: Chunky yarn in Black, White, Red and Yellow, plus 4mm knitting needles, darning needle, toy stuffing and black toy safety eyes (9mm)
Yarns we use: A ball each of Hayfield Bonus Chunky in Black and White, some Hayfield Bonus Chunky in Signal Red and Sunflower Yellow (though any chunky weight yarn in red and yellow will also work, yellows such as Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky - Colour Buttercup Yellow (322) OR King Cole Big Value Chunky - Colour Yellow (828) for example)
