I started thinking about this pattern when my daughter was 3, she's now 27! I couldn't find what I wanted, a fairly simple knitted advent calendar with pockets that I could put little gifts and sweets etc in. So I have designed this using worsted/aran weight yarn although I used two strands (one double knit and one 4ply) to give a mottled effect in the sample I made.
It has cardboard and wadding inside to give it a bit of strength and a slight 3D effect
You can decorate it in any way that you like or keep it fairly simpl
