I'm terrible, useless when it comes to stranded knitting. Knitting with two color always results in something that looks like a cat ate two skeins and then puked. I wanted to make altering stripes and this is what I came up with. FAKE stranded knitting!!!
The shawl consists of two different kind of sections, horizontal and vertical stripes. The vertical stripes are worked like mosaic stitch, slipping the stitches that are not the working color. This results in a slightly tighter fabric and before blocking the horizontal stripes sections might seem a bit looser than the vertical stripes, but blocking will fix that. The rim is worked with the same method as the vertical stripes. The outer rim and neck line have an i-cord finishing.
