Chantilly Mermaid

Size of doll: approx 20 inches Designer: Raewyn Parker (Red Hen Designs)

Chantilly is a gorgeous sitting mermaid, sitting around 12 inches/30cm high.

She is knitted in 8Ply/Dk wool on 3mm needles (UK 11). She is knitted flat and then sewn together. The yarn I used is a standard pure wool 8 ply She has button eyes you can easily embroider these instead, especially important if you are making a doll for a child under 3 years old.

I have also knitted her in a mohair blend with metallic sparkles, and with some different embellishments. (Photo also shown in this listing.)

The doll herself is for intermediate knitters. I have provided lots of links to websites to get tutorials in techniques, and of course I am happy to help via email.
