Made up of blocks of 36 small mitred squares (36 bock square measures 12" x 12" ) with knitted on border.
The blanket in the pattern is shown as 4 blocks by 2 blocks but could easily be made into a 9 square blanket of 3 blocks by 3 blocks.
Each block of 36 squares would also make a good size cushion cover.
NB The Sirdar Snuggly Smiley Stripes yarn may no longer be available. You can use any DK yarn. The original yarns where a long colour change yarn with overlapping colour combinations so it was possible to make the colours flow across the block from one diagonal row of squares to the next. the pattern will work in solid colour yarns as well.
