My vast hoard of yarn includes a few snippets of very old wool, given to me by my Grandma. One of these is the gorgeous lavender pebble-dashed bouclé seen here, which must be at least fifty years old. Good thing I hung on to it huh?
I've made a pair with the leftovers from my Fair Isle Thistle Wristwarmers and Tam o’Shanter. My original plan with this little pattern was to see how far I could take those ten balls of Jamieson's Spindrift, but I was side tracked by Grandma's bouclé. Now I've done both!
Whilst these are one size, you can upsize by using larger needles. The second pair (made with Jamieson's Spindrift) are longer. I wear them both underneath my longer, thumb-less wristwarmers (very cosy and snug) but you can choose your own adventure. Both charts are provided,
Extra, too, is a black and white chart, so you can experiment with your colours.
Flat measurements (below thumb gussett) are: Grandma's boucle-9.5 wide x12cm. Spindrift 9.5 wide x 13.5cm long.
