This pattern can be made with only one skein of any super bulky yarn (#6) and a size P (11 1/2mm) crochet hook. You may also substitute a thinner yarn, just be sure to size the hook down to the proper size. For a longer cowl, simply add chains to the beginning chain. These can be made in little more than one hour, and certainly in no more than 2 hours!
