This is a bottom up ribbed hat with an intarsia flag (the stars may either be worked as you go or with duplicate stitch), worked in the round using US size 2 needles and fingering weight yarn. The flag pattern is charted and the decrease is written out.
The size is listed as an adult large, but there are hints written in to adjust the size. This hat takes 50 grams of navy blue fingering weight tweed, and about 5 grams each of fingering weight tweed in red and white.
