Brioche knitting creates a multidimensional and lofty fabric. We were inspired by the beautiful jewel tones of The Fibre Company's Road to China Light and thought it was perfect for this transitional weather hat. Although this is a beginner brioche project, it's still visually interesting due to the layered transitions in color. And the gradual changes in needle size give it that perfect slouchy shape. To make this pattern beginner-friendly, we included tips for brioche knitting on page 4, as well as a breakdown of instructions for English knitters.
