This simple but stylish shawl is easy to knit and fun to wear. The whole body is worked in garter stitch with colorful stripes which give a nice touch and make the knitting interesting.
Size One: approx. 166cm/65.25” wide and 38 cm/15” long at center spine.
Yarn MC: 3 skeins of Big Boy Mini by Easyknits (70% Exmoor Blueface; 20% Alpaca, 10% Nylon; 165m/181y per 50g). Shown in colorway: Dusk. CC1-5: 1 set of Big Boy Cakes by Easyknits (70% Exmoor Blueface; 20% Alpaca, 10% Nylon; 5 x 60m/66y per 20g). Shown in colorway: Dandelion.
Needles 4.0 mm/US #6 circular needle (80 cm/32” long).
Other tapestry needle for weaving.
Gauge 17 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter st measured flat after wet blocking. The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
