A pair of thick boot socks are, in my opinion, an essential piece of kit for any kind of walking you may do. Actually, they’re an essential piece of kit that can be worn as bed socks or house slippers, whether you’ve done any walking or not!
These top down socks begin with a two-colour long-tail cast on which leads into the k1 p1 ribbed cuff. The colourwork on the leg ends with a standard heel flap and gusset. The foot is plain, except for a little colourwork just before the wedge toe.
The socks work up quickly in an aran-weight yarn.
