This is a pattern for a Baby Layette, originally published in Simply Knitting in two parts. It consists of four patterns: a shawl, a matinee jacket, booties and a bonnet. The shawl has a textured stitch as the main, with a lace border and leaf lace edging. The jacket has the same textured stitch as the shawl, with the same lace stitch. The booties have the lace stitch and stocking stitch, the bonnet has the same combination of lace stitch and textured stitch.
