Baby/Child's Sheep Blanket

Knitted flat on circular needles and in one piece (including the border), so no picking up stitches or sewing squares together - just sew in the ends when you're finished. The sheep motif is knitted following an easy chart using the intarsia method, which is why the pattern is more suited to intermediate level. But the chart is so simple it would make a good project for someone new to colour knitting. The "BAA" words and sheeps' faces are embroidered on afterwards in duplicate/Swiss darning stitch, French knots and straight stitch. Made with Stylecraft Special DK which is soft, hard wearing and machine washable, very practical for a child!
