A classic raglan jacket with an integrated fitted shawl collar, cosy, lightweight, and nicely draped. Choose from two working methods: (1) Select your prescribed size with a defined stitch gauge. (2) Or use the alteration instructions to personalise the pattern for your own stitch gauge, and for different body proportions.
Construction
Use a neat triolet mesh stitch. Working from the top downwards without seams, begin at the back of the neck and proceed in this order -- collar, yolk, body, edging, sleeves.
Features
Make the jacket as a wearable artwork by incorporating the lace charts as the garment is constructed, producing lovely organic motifs that meander freely over the garment. Or make the plain jacket in a fancy yarn.
