Large basket – 15-20 metres Appletons Old English Crewel wool and 15 metres 1-ply cotton or cotton mix yarn. Small basket – 10-15 metres Appletons Old English Crewel wool and 10 metres 1-ply cotton or cotton mix yarn.
Approximate finished sizes
Round mat - 10 cm/4-inch diameter. Rectangular mat - 10 cm/4-inches by 6 cm/2½-inches. Large basket - approx 2.5 cm/1-inch deep, diameter approx 4 cm/1½-inches. Small basket - approx 2 cm/¾-inch deep, diameter approx 2.5 cm/1-inch
